IGAPE hosts business community for seminar on privatisations

The entity in charge of managing the Angolan State’s assets and stakes in companies, IGAPE (Instituto de Gestão de Activos e Participações do Estado), is leading an ambitious privatisation program in the country.

For two days in September, Angola’s business community came together to listen to local and foreign experts about the broad outline and the priorities of the privatisation program.
Among the invited guests was Imad Fakhoury, Senior Advisor at the IFC - International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group), whose main message to the attendees was that, in order to be successful, the privatisation process must be guided by the principle of transparency.

All in all, the current privatisation calendar runs until 2022, and will offer interested investors different options to participate, ranging from public tenders to buying stakes though the stock exchange.

Munich Partners is paying close attention to the opportunities this program offers and is in a position to advise interested parties accordingly.
